Maryville is a purpose built home for 39 older people in a residential area of Brentford, in close proximity to the shops, medical services, leisure facilities and library. The shopping centres of Hounslow and Chiswick are within easy reach. There is excellent transport links by bus, London underground and British Rail to Heathrow airport and central London.
Our aim is to provide a unique, high quality supportive, stimulating and homely environment for care; enabling individuals to retain their independence and lead valued, fulfilled lives.
The home is built over three levels and accommodation consists of 39 single en suite rooms. Each room is comfortably furnished and equipped with a bed-side nurse call system, a television and a telephone point. There are two lounges, a dining room, kitchenette, assisted bathrooms and toilets on each level. Pleasant, well kept gardens with a wide range of flowers, shrubs and patios areas surround the home. Service users take great pride in caring for numerous house plants. We actively encourage people to bring treasured items of furniture and of course are pleased to welcome family and friends to visit at any time. All this helps to make it your home rather than just a home.
A chapel is attached to the Nursing Home where daily services are held by a resident chaplain. Individuals may attend as they wish. Those who are unable to attend can have the service relayed through their television to their room or lounge. Church of England and venues of worship for other faiths are located in close proximity to the home. The spiritual needs of patients and relatives are always respected.
Admission to Maryville takes place after careful consideration by all parties as to the suitability of the environment and prior to admission a detailed person centred plan is established to ensure that all requirements can be met.
Service users are supported and encouraged to avail of the many activities such as reminiscence, keep fit, painting, yoga, sing- a- longs and bingo available in the home. Any other activities which the residents themselves may wish to introduce are encouraged.
Our cooks provide an excellent and varied menu to meet the nutritional needs of our residents and are pleased to cater for individual dietary requirements.
We are committed to staff training and development in order to ensure that staff are equipped to meet the needs of the service users.
Maryville has been accredited with three star excellent rating from the Care Quality Commission, five star excellent rating from the local authority environmental health board and holds current Investors in People award.
