11 Tooting Bec Gardens is a small residential home in the community for eight female service users with varying levels of learning disabilities. The home is only a few minutes walk from Streatham High Road and is close to all community based activities and many shopping centres. Facilities such as health centre's , opticians and dentists as well as lesure options such as the swimming pool, cinema, ice rink and open parklands are all within easy walking distance.

Each service user chooses their daily activities and and many regularly attend colleges, day centre's and are involved in local church life. The home is registered with CSCI Lamberth as a care home providing accommodation for eight adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

The accommodation comprises of eight single bedrooms, all of which are above average proportions and each are furnished to a high standard and reflect styles and preferences.

We endevour to create an open, friendly and welcoming environment and each service user is encouraged to be as independent as possible. Both service users and staff have been fully involved in agreeing and implementing changes over the past year.

Aims and Objectives:

To provide a warm and friendly environment in which all service users are given every opportunity to enhance their quality of life and their independent skills.
Our aim is to provide a service that is tailored to meeting the needs of each individual. We aim to provide care and support to enable each service user to fully participate in, making informed choices in all aspects of their daily lives.
Adopt and Implement a “Personal Centred Approach” to service provision. Individual service users are encouraged to maximise their involvement and have control over their Person Centred Plans.
To monitor and evaluate the changing needs of each individual and adopt a flexible approach to their care and support. To ensure that each individual’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met.
To ensure that all aspects of service user's health and personal care are dealt with appropriately and sensitively, drawing upon external health professionals where appropriate.
To implement Health Action plans and ensure thet these are regularly reviewed and updated.
The management and the staff team to demonstrate that a qualitative service is being provided equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices are evident at all times.
