
Fernley Resourse Centre is beautifully set in the Freshfield Pine woods and very near the sea and can boast some of the most beautiful walks in the area. We have fantastic facilities allowing us to offer a service to people with complex needs.
Fernley is divided into seven specialist groups:
Sandalwood - a dedicated unit specialising in providing care for people with profound physical disabilities and complex needs. It is staffed by a team of caring and dedicated individuals including qualified nurses.
Cedarwood - attached to Sandalwood is cedarwood which provides additional specialist therapies on a one to one basis including music, movement, self image, outings and parachute dance.
Medley - is an all male group and a safe and happy environment designed for learning, skill development and self expression
Pathways - is a group focussed on promoting independant living in a safe but challenging meaningful way.
Echoes - is a group specialising in the care of the genteel elderly.




Horizon - specialises in supporting people with a visual impairment. A sensory approach is taken with all activities offered utilising sound, taste, touch and smell.
