Care and Respect for the Individual

 


St. Raphael’s Adult Services provides residential care for 19 adult female service users with learning disabilities. The home is divided into two small units, Fatima House, and St Raphael’s. Fatima House provides accommodation for twelve service users, six on the Ground Floor and six on the First Floor. St. Raphael’s provides accommodation for seven service users.

Our aim is to provide a supportive, stimulating and homely environment for service users encouraging each person to develop and achieve a level of independence and choice in order to maximise their quality of life.


Service Users have their own Person Centred Plan which enables the staff to work with the individuals on how they want to live their life and reach their own personal potential. We provide 24 hour care and support with trained and experienced staff.

St. Raphael’s Adult Services works closely with the local borough of Hounslow/Bentford in providing opportunities for service users to be a part of the community. Service users are encoraged and supported to attend local clubs/social events.

St. Raphael’s Adult Services is able to meet the needs of persons with learning disabilitys. The bedrooms in St. Raphael’s are single with en-suite facilities. All staff are trained to meet the needs of each individual service user. There is a close working relationship with the Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities.
The service is managed by The Frances Taylor Foundation and adheres to all the organisations’ policies and procedures in order to meet the needs of the service users, assure quality and meet the requirements of The National Minimum Standards
