Care and Respect for the Individual

St Mary’s is an Adult Service providing care for men and women over the age of 18 with a Learning Disability.
St Mary’s Adult Care Service provides Residential Care, Day Care, Respite and Holiday Care. All prices for the care provided are based on Individual Need. For information regarding vacancies and fees please contact the Service Manager.

St Mary’s consists of seven modern, self-contained flats each providing a high standard of décor and some with en-suite provision. Service Users are able to bring their own possessions for use in their bedrooms. We have provision for wheelchair users with two floors having access to street level, and a variety of equipment to assist in daily living.
We enable each individual to acquire and develop skills, which will provide fulfillment and enrichment to their life.
Service Users are encouraged and enabled to share their achievements with friends, family and advocates if they so desire.

St Mary’s has excellent links within the local community and with many different Social Service providers, including the Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities. Service Users are encouraged to join community based clubs and activities if they so wish.

There are extensive gardens that have been designed to enhance the enjoyment of Service Users with a variety of seating, attractive pathways and walks.
We are situated on the High Street in Roehampton, which is known as the last village in London. St Mary’s is very close to all amenities including shops, cafés and restaurants. We are within walking distance of Richmond
The Day Centre, which is attached to St Mary’s, gives opportunities for Social Education and Development to Service Users from the home and the local community.

All staff are trained in the care of People with Learning Disabilities and support health issues arising from an ageing population. There are many opportunities for transfer of ideas and knowledge within the staffing group that ensures that activities are available for both sexes and all age groups and abilities.
