Care and Respect for the Individual

31 Woodbourne Avenue is an 8 bedded house situated in a popular residential area.
All rooms are single occupancy and decorated to a high standard. Services users are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms with choice of furniture and colour scheme.
There are three bathrooms and spacious living areas with a large conservatory overlooking the patio and garden.

Our aim is that service users are:
• Provided with a warm and friendly environment in which to live.
• Encouraged to maximise their quality of life and increase their independence.
• Empowered to participate in the development of the home and integration into the wider community.
• Afforded individual dignity, privacy and respect.

All staff are trained in the care of People with Learning Disabilities and health issues arising from advanced years. There are many opportunities for transfer of ideas and knowledge within the staffing group that ensures that activities are available for both gender and all age groups and abilities.
Every service user has their own person centred plan to encourage personal growth. Needs, wishes and activities are reviewed and assessed at regular intervals by the staff and service user concerned.

Group social and recreational activities are arranged in accordance with service users wishes, thus enabling best use to be made of the range of local facilities in Streatham. Some service users also enjoy the further independence of going out to work and receiving a payment which supports their independance.
