Streatham Services

Having my independence is very important to me and I get to go out with my friends all the time and that is what I love most about living at Woodbourne Avenue.

The Streatham Services comprise two registered care homes for people with learning disabilities, each able to accommodate eight people.

The houses are close to each other, in Tooting Bec Gardens and Woodbourne Avenue. The houses are close to Streatham High Road which has all the necessary amenities for modern living and our service users are very familiar and make good use of all the facilities available for example; restaurants, cinema, swimming pool etc.

Currently, and for historical reasons, these are all-female services, but are open to male referral too.

The people we support have a variety of different support needs and our staff are well trained, experienced and highly skilled in the support they deliver. We support people in person centred ways which suit their individual needs. Our staff receive quality training above the required standard to enable them offer the best possible care.

We provide support that enables people to gain new skills and to develop existing skills. Promoting independence is at the centre of the way we deliver our service. Some people we support have been enabled through quality staff support to travel short distances independently. This makes them feel empowered and part of their local community. Our homes are decorated to a very high standard and well maintained with an on-site maintenance officer.
