Finding his voice

Lincoln has been living at Woodlands, St Joseph’s, for nearly two years and brings wonderful energy and personality to the home. Chatty, cheeky and always keen to be involved, he loves being part of everyday life – particularly helping with the laundry and hoovering.

Since arriving, Lincoln has made remarkable progress. At first, his communication was largely limited to saying “yes” and “no”. Today, he loves to talk, share his experiences and make himself heard. He has recently started college and comes home eager to tell everyone about his day.

Having people around him who know him well and feeling included are especially important to Lincoln. His sociable personality shines through whenever someone arrives – he makes sure they receive a warm welcome by enthusiastically calling out their name!

Lincoln also enjoys spending time with his dad, going shopping and taking trips on the bus or train.

It has been wonderful to see Lincoln grow in confidence, find his voice and embrace the people and experiences around him.
